Telford Tigers lose on penalties
Telford Tigers lost 3-2 on penalties to Hull Pirates last night in their table-topping clash in the NIHL North Cup.
After the match at the Hull Ice Arena finished 2-2, the Tigers thought they’d scored in the final minute of overtime, but the goal was ruled out and the match went to penalties.
But Jonathan Weaver and Jason Silverthorn each missed for Telford.
The Tigers are currently top of the seven-strong group in the NIHL North Cup, with Hull their nearest challengers in second.
