For the first time in seven years big guns Broseley B and Chelmarsh B will not be involved.

Highley B produced a top-drawer display to defeat Alveley C in their semi-final.

Alveley started with a 77-point advantage and came flying out of the blocks as Reg Burton potted well to record an impressive success over Ash Preece to extend their lead to 121.

But captain Beamer Jones then started the Highley comeback with an 80-22 success against Brian Arnold.

Jason Brown kept the run going as he pulled more points back by beating Chris Jepson.

Highley were 48 behind going into the fourth frame but Dave Siddons hit form to beat Steve Coldecott and edge Higley into a three-point lead.

Ross Moorcroft then sealed the deal for Highley with breaks of 35 and 27.

St John's lined up their shot at silverware by beating Broseley in their semi-final clash.

They were boosted by a 70-point start and Tim Steele strengthened their position as he rolled in a 46 break on his way to beating Mick Brezwyn.

Kevin Hawkins then took the second frame of the night for St John's to boost their overall lead to a 142.

Nick Carson and Andy Carson responded for the visitors with wins in frames three and four but St John's went into the final match of the night with a 108 lead and their final ticket all but secure.

Rob Powell (St John's) opened with a 39 break only for Eddie Mullard to hit back and win by two points to gain some small consolation for the visitors as St John's marched into the final.

Shifnal B and Chelmarsh B will contest the Consolation Cup final.

Shifnal overturned a 100-point to beat Chelmarsh D 423- 373. Ben Godding, Ian Postans, Andy Garbett, Jessie Low and Matt Judd all won on the night for Shifnal.

The other semi-final was a closer affair with Alveley B edged out 360-354 by Chelmarsh B.
