This year's annual Folk Festival in Shrewsbury has proved a massive hit once again.

The headline acts included Richard Thompson, Winnipeg-based The Duhks and and the regular favourites Oysterband.

There was also traditional dance shows from troupes including the Shropshire Bedlams.

The festival moved from Bridgnorth to Shrewsbury in 2006 and has grown in popularity so much that after just one year it moved from the Quarry to the West Mid Showground.

Shropshire Star reporter Andy Richardson went to this year's festival to soak up some of the atmosphere.
