New chair for Leek Building Society

Leek Building Society has appointed a new chair after announcing Rachel Court’s nine-year tenure will come to an end in April 2025.

Incoming Chair Designate John Gibson is an existing non-executive director at the society, having joined the board in January 2024.

“Rachel has overseen a highly successful period of substantial growth and investment at the Leek, together with a significant uplift in local community and charitable involvement,” said a spokesperson. 

"John brings substantial experience in risk management and governance, as well as a clear commitment to the mutual values of the sector.”
