Talk in Oswestry on Iron Age hillforts
On Friday, 8 November, the Oswestry & Border History & Archaeology Group (OBHAG) will welcome Dr Toby Driver FSA, to talk on the hillforts of Iron Age Wales and the border.
Toby Driver is the Senior Aerial Investigator for the Royal Commission on the Ancient & Historical Monuments of Wales, and a Trustee of the Cambrian Archaeological Association. He is a specialist in the prehistoric and Roman archaeology of Wales and has lectured and broadcast widely. His latest book, The hillforts of Iron Age Wales, draws on his lifetime experience in the field and has many wonderful aerial photographs. The evening will be an unmissable event for anyone with an interest in the early history of Wales and the border.
The talk will take place at the Methodist Church Hall, Castle Street, Oswestry, starting at 7.30pm, and is open to OBHAG members and visitors.
There is a small fee: £2 for members, £5 for visitors.
