Shropshire charity receives King's Award on its 30th anniversary

Shrewsbury & Oswestry Crucial Crew have been given the King's Award for Voluntary Service 2024. The award coincides with the charity's 30th anniversary.

Shrewsbury & Oswestry Crucial Crew have a volunteer management team of about 10 people. The group facilitates a safety event in June each year for up to 1,560 Year 6, 11--year-olds from 50 Shrewsbury/Oswestry schools. Up to date safety advice is provided by professional partners and volunteers.

Children move between 13 scenarios escorted by over 100 chaperones during the two week event.
