Charity wins in Wem as townsfolk take part in annual wheelbarrow race

Wem's annual wheelbarrow race saw Wemians venture outside, despite the bad weather, to support the 'A Bear Named Buttony' charity, where 15 teams battled the elements to raise £590 for the charity that supports stoma wearing children.

Buttony Bear and Wem's comedian Greg Davies were present to witness the fun and chaos! This year's winners were Sam and Andy Ellison for the second time; we think the cold made them rush round the course in just 31 minutes!
