The Christmas break is a time of celebration and joy, so, to make sure everyone can enjoy their time with family, friends and loved ones, Severn Trent’s teams will be available to lend a helping hand.

Our teams will continue to work round the clock to help with any issues quickly that may arise and ensure it’s a Happy Christmas for all.

Andrew McKenzie, Customer Contact Lead at Severn Trent, said: “It may be Christmas, but we need to make sure that our customers are looked after just like any other time of the year.

“While a lot of people celebrating, teams and call centres will be available to ensure everyone has a wonderful time during the festive season without any extra added stress.

“Customers can report any problems here, send us a tweet @stwater, or give us a call on our 24/7 emergency line 0800 783 4444; we’ll be more than happy to help.”

Severn Trent’s operational line remains open 24/7 and the call centre dealing with customer bill enquiries will be open at the following times:

  • 24 December – 9am to 5pm
  • 25, and 26 December – closed
  • 27 and 28 December – 9am to 5pm
  • 29 December - closed
  • 30 and 31 December – 9am to 5pm
  • 1 January – Closed
  • 2 January onward – normal opening hours

Andrew added: “Customers can also work with us by making some little changes that will have a massive impact in keeping your homes and the sewers protected over the winter break.

“To stop your kitchen sink and drains from getting blocked remember to ‘be a binner, not a blocker’ and use kitchen roll to wipe down plates and pans before washing them and- instead of pouring them down the drain. Collect any fats, oils, and greases from Christmas dinner in containers or jars to throw in the bin. In the bathroom, remember to only flush the 3P’s - pee, poo, and (toilet) paper.

“Also make sure that external pipes are protected from the cold by wrapping them and report any leaks as quickly as possible. But the one thing to remember above all else is to have a very merry Christmas!”
