OBHAG chair John Pryce-Jones said: "We are very pleased that Dr Parsons has agreed to come to Oswestry to talk to us on what is a fascinating subject.

"We know how Oswestry and district has a true mixture of Welsh and English place names, and the study of these names can tell us a great deal about Oswestry's past, and the people who lived and worked here".

The talk will take place at the Methodist Church Hall, Castle Street, Oswestry, starting at 7.30pm. There is a small admission fee of £2 for OBHAG members, and £5 for visitors.

Full details of OBHAG's activities including its monthly talks can be found on the group's website at obhag.org.uk.
