The Sport and Recreation Alliance, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, is looking to recognise the young people that will be at the forefront of grassroots sport and recreation for the next 90 years, with its Community Sport and Recreation Awards: Youth Edition 2025.

The organisation is looking for nominations across nine different categories, including Young Coach of the Year, Young Advocate of the Year, Young Fundraiser of the Year, and Young Sports Official of the Year. For a full list of categories, head to the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s website.

To be eligible for a nomination, the individual must be aged between 18-30 during 2025, and entries must be received by the closing date on 12 February 2025. Self-nominations are allowed, and the nomination form is quick and easy to fill in – more information can be found on the website.

There will be an exciting celebration of the finalists later in 2025, to tie in with events to mark the Alliance’s 90th anniversary, which will be announced in the coming months.

If you know someone involved in sport and recreation who has gone above and beyond in the local community, simply nominate them before the deadline – it would be fantastic to see our local area represented!
