The homebuilder is in the early stages of preparing plans for approximately 57 homes on land north of Holyhead Road in Shifnal, with a mix of properties to suit a range of buyers.

Of the new homes, 20 per cent will be classed as affordable housing in line with Shropshire Council’s existing and emerging local plan policy, equating to approximately 11 homes.

The provisional plans for the development include a variety of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes, as well as the creation of new green public open spaces and a play area.

Taylor Wimpey will hold a public consultation to seek the views of local residents and stakeholders. Details of the proposals will be available to view here.

People will also get the chance to speak to the project team in person during a public exhibition on Thursday, 20 February at the Park House Hotel, Park Street, Shifnal, from 3.30pm to 7.30pm.

Helen Chard, Land Director at Taylor Wimpey North Midlands, said: “Gathering the views of the local community is an important stage in the development process and we are keen to hear what residents living near the site think of our current proposals.”
